Oh sure you have heard of those whacked laws in other states, but have you ever seen anyone actually getting convicted and sentenced for one of those stupid laws?
And here is another one!
Okay here is another bandwidth meter.
Cool little bandwidth utility, registration is free, and it has some cool information.

On a "discussion group" I am on, actually its a list of people I used to work with, we were talking about database software than got onto opensource/free and closed source/pay software. Particularly MS products... I posed this question about what if the next os takes over.... and if I get a comments section I would love to hear replies... Which brings up a good question issue. The current biggest problem with MS products, not necessarily MS itself is that: 1. It has nasty bugs or exploits 2. Regular Joe users do not update 3. Regular Joe users do not keep informed 4. Regular Joe users do not run Virus Scanners Whats going to happen if another OS comes up to the fore front. I hardly think that users will change, we may have less bugs, but people will still not patch, still not run virus software and still not keep informed. Are we going to end up seeing the same things we see with Nimbda with other OSes if/when they take over? I know my mother-in-law is running 98, and I can tell you she has never ever ever run a patch for any problem on her box, nor would she ever think to.

The perfect Christmas Present for your true geek...
What's a fadge? Have you been "around the world"? Do you exercise your TCM? Dunno what the hell I am talking about? Look it up!
Would you like a dead deer with your order? Hmmm imagine if they super sized it. I gotta say if you have security cameras and you still do not know how it got there, you might want to consider why bother having security cameras...
What a start to the week. Monday we came up with firewall issues at work I did not get home till 9pm and that was without resolving the issues. Tuesday involved continuing to work on those to see if we could ge tthem fixed. We have applied a patch and apparently its going to keep running for now, but man what a pain in the butt. The only good thing to come of it was I was able to figure out how to get it restarted within a couple of seconds of going down. This also leads me to say YOU HAVE TO have a console connection if you have any type of *nix box. We are running our firewall on a Linux Redhat 6.2 server and without the console connection we would have had to sit in the server room. Instead with handy dandy hyperterminal we were able to get on the console and bring up and down the network at our leisure.

Do YOU remember Zork? If not clicking that link will take you back down memory lane. Its apparently the 404 page for the site. Little slow to load at first, then you can play to your hearts content :)
Everyone has gotten a Darwin Award in the email, I mean everyone has, its like a definite if you have email. Their web site is a nice collection of all the ones I have seen plus a lot I have not. Its a mazing how stupid some people are. I think I will add that site to my links :)

And the below, Coming Attractions site is where I found information about Shrek II. I loved the first movie, and heck my kids loved it too, so I am hopeful that the second will be as good. Maybe it will be another Toy Story II, which was actually as good as the first one...
For all your movie scoops and news, this is definitely the site to go to. No its not about one specific movie, which there are tons of, I mean god look how many Star Wars sites there are (The Force Net, Jedi Net, StarWars.com). This site has all genre's and all types. So take a peak I visit it as often as I get a chance to just to catch up on the movies I might want to see. And of course if you have a question about an already released movie you gotta use The IMDB, its got information on just about any movie you can think of putting in.
Well I just got my review at work, been there a year already, I have to say the year passed by pretty damn quick. And better than I thought when I started. The first month I thought I was gonna have to go out and find something else. But after that its gone up hill. Yeah there is the going in at 2am to fix things and getting paged at all hours, but the work is diverse, and the people are good. And its interesting. And in this economy its a job. I honestly did not expect to get a review, its a small company so I figured it would just get passed by without notice, and well I did not really care. I want feedback on how I am doing and as long as I am regularly getting that a yearly review is just redundant. But it came back and it was good, I was pleased, and it seems at least some people see the problems that were there a year ago seem to be gone.
Why is it that domain name like www.smellyfeet.com (no its not a link) leads you to an "Adult Friend Finder" ? I mean I can appreciate a foot fetish, but a smelly foot fetish? Ewww...
Okay I was killing time this afternoon and I found that site. Sounds pretty cool, but I am sure I do not have the funds to pay for a party like that any time soon. And I doubt many people will till this economy turns around.
Okay, even more pretty women. I know you guys are gonna think gesh does he surf all day looking for women online. Nope they just happen to fall into my lap, what can I say :D.
