Well its been a while, a very long while. Twenty-three days according to the last post. I thought I had posted after that, but obviously I must be mistaken. Lets see, whats up. I still hate my job, and am still working where I was before. Nothing has changed in that respect. I got more work to do for a while which kept me busy, and hopefully I shall still be busy. But the morale and the enjoyment is definitely gone. I got to take care of the girls alone for 4 days, my wife went to visit her sister and took my son, while I stayed home with the girls. It actually went pretty well. It was nice. My toddler really is very good at telling you what she wants, without saying a word. Whether she wanted food, to nap, or for you to give her attention she really seems to communicate it well. The hardest part was one night I woke up at 3am, could not get back to sleep and they were up at 6am. Made for a long day, but hey, such is life. It did let me know that I do not think I would enjoy doing this everyday. As a change of pace it was enjoyable. On the geek front nothing new. I have my linux box running fine, use fetchmail on that to pull my main email so I can check it at work and read it there, then have my main system at home poll that box. Got the console connection running fine, and the box is pretty stable, only issue appears on a reboot if its been running for a while, which then it does not post. Oh and unless someone turns it off, or the machine between it and the internet goes down, then I lose connectivity :)
