You all have seen me type that I watch wrestling, and though some of you I am sure say, how can you watch that crap, its entertaining. Yes the matches winner is predetermined, but jumping off the top of the ring onto a table, is no less than what a stunt man does in a movie... Last night I went to the FleetCenter and saw WWE Monday night RAW. Show wise it was awesome. We got a late start as our babysitter, and provider of free premium tickets, was late getting in and then the driving sucked cause of the weather and there was an accident that slowed us down. We finally got there about 8:30 and found that they had closed off where we were supposed to sit. So we went to customer service and found they had moved us. We ended up in the mid-level executive boxes. The REALLY nice ones, have their own tv, fridge, free soda, own bathroom. I was impressed, there were only 10 of us in that box. If you consider the ramp going to the ring as 6 o'clock, we were at about 10 or 11 o'clock, perfect view of the ring, not that great view of the big tv cause of the lights being in the way though. Most of those boxes were empty. They had the top area tarped off on the side that was not on TV, and on that side even lower there were empty seats not tons but more than I would expect at that level. We got in just as Raven was leaving from whatever Heat match he had. Then about 10 minutes before 9 they had everyone scream and everything for a pre-shot FleetCenter shot. Even where we were sitting you could feel the heat from the pyros, it must get pretty hot down there next to them. Before hand they used an airgun to shoot some shirts around the arena to people. There was not as much boos for the heels that I would have expected. There were tons of pops for names like Booker T, Jeff Hardy, RVD and HBK. Jeff Hardy was a lot more popular than I expected. Its funny it definitely at times looks more like a play watching it live. I now know what the loser does stays in the ring and then is either helped by the ref out back or slowly makes his way out back while they are showing commercials or a bit, selling the beating they just got the whole way. There was one flasher, my wife saw, I missed seeing anything good though. The best part, I have not heard of them doing in a long long long time. After they went off the air. They announced, Hold on people, there is a special event now. A 10 man tag team event! Then he went back, and there was a 10 man tag team of HHH, Jericho, Christian, Rosie, Jamal vs RVD, Kane, Booker, Bubba, and Jeff Hardy. It was pretty damn good lots of action, think their might have been a messed up part as it looked like Kane pinned HHH and the ref called it but the bell never rang and they kept wrestling, ended up with HHH pinning Kane due to Flair. The heels backed off the set, and the good guys posed, went around slapping hands, etc. It was funny Bubba walked all around the ring slapping hands, Jeff did about half way, Booker about half way and out the exit. RVD was talking to people from the ring, went down and the ref pulls him to the back not letting him do it. Kane, just gut out of the ring and left. Did not slap anyone's hand. The last match definitely made people who paid to go see it worth it I think. Otherwise though the commentary can be annoying, you do not get that, and well really you can get buy shirts off the internet. Its the live feeling that people like.
