Wow! Someone listened to me and started putting more technical snippets on his site. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I used to get tons of email from him that had all kinds of cool stuff, back when we worked together. I miss that. Oh and a vote for the name of your blog if you change it.... BEtimes :)

Okay I am actually opposed to the FTC proposal to limit telemarketers.. What you say, am I crazy? Am I a psycho? Well maybe I am those things, but I have a few good reasons, at least I think they are good. 1. Its freedom of speech, the telemarketer is calling you, that is their freedom, it does not cost you money, and they are already not allowed to do it during typical sleeping time. 2. They pay the bill. Thats a lot of money thats pumped into the phone companies. Exchange of money for services is GOOD for the economy. How many people do you know that would want to be on this list, probably lots, thats a lot LESS calls that would be made, and a lot less money that would get paid to the phone companies. 3. Jobs. You have less people to call, you need less people to do the calls. They are already replacing it with machines, which I think is a bad thing. If you have less people to call you are just going to start firing people. Its what the companies do. We already have a bad economy, its not the time to put people out of work who already have limited skills, and arguably can barely do the job they currently do. What I would rather see is a law imposing the restriction that all telemarketer calls be proceeded with an introduction of who they are representing and two questions. The first question, do you wish to be removed from our contact list, the second question, may I continue explaining our product. I think doing something like this would allow people to EASILY get off the lists that call them, without the possiblility of destroying the whole "telemarketer" business. So yeah I guess I am insane...

See told you I was a bad speller, spelled scrabble with one b below. Now fixed :) Is it still Monotheism, if the one God you believe in is yourself? What makes a memory memorable? I mean you remember some stuff but not others. Why? Any exercises you can do to fix that? Am I weird, I like to multiple two digit numbers in my head for fun sometimes, like 73x27. Which is better for humidty, Hawaii or South Carolina? Which side would Hawaii have been on in the Civil war? Am I rambling?

I played scrabble yesterday for the first time. Never claimed to be a great speller, but I had fun playing. First time in YEARS that I can remember playing any type of game with my sister. In some ways made me wish we lived closer to the rest of my family. And I really really did think that jiger was a word. Guess thats how bad a speller that I am. Thats okay I got 33 points for zits :)

So like I had said our CFO and my boss the VP of technology were laid off last week. Supposedly as a way to cut from the bottom line. Then here it is Monday and we have a couple of "resources" here to help out. They are doing the CFO work and VP of technology work. Hmm I do not think they are doing it for free. But what really bugs me is the fact that they are from the same company as our CEO. In fact as far as I know our CEO still has the title CEO at this other company, and is bringing in MORE of his people. Now if they were a succesfull team, thats one thing, but the company essentially WENT UNDER. Their funding got yanked, their hardware was confiscated. I am not even sure if they have offices anymore. So we are putting together a team here thats made up of these people that DID NOT MAKE IT at this other company. Ummm something sound wrong here?

You know sometimes your memory is pretty good. Like being sure that you never have been to New York before, other times its not so good, like did you bring lunch this day last year. Yeah pretty outlandish examples, but I have a point. I do not for certain remember my Dad NOT sledding with me. I do not remember always wishing he would and him saying no. But I do not remember doing it with him. I remember doing other things like ice fishing and riding snowmobiles. I do not remember sledding with him. But you know thats okay cause this weekend I got the best damn memory I could wish for. My Dad, almost 73 years old, sledding down his new back yard with me, my son and my older daughter. My dad trying to go down the hill standing up, and falling off. Me doing it, and my son and daughter doing it. I may not remember for sure doing it when I was a kid, but I can say I will never forget that this weekend. Its gotta be the best time I have had at my parents in a long time.
